DESCRIPTION
Cítri. Co is a project that has successfully created a bioplastic using organic citrus waste, specifically from orange and lemon peels, to encourage the fashion industry to make clothes in an eco-friendly way.
The bioplastic was then utilized to manufacture clothing products and accessories such as handbags, shirts, and belts that cater to the design industry and sustainable fashion. This project combines three fields: design, sustainable fashion, and experimentation with new materials.
Two installations were created in different sizes to showcase the material's physical characteristics. These installations innovatively and dynamically demonstrated the versatility of the bioplastic. Audiovisual techniques such as photography and video were also employed to further highlight the bioplastic's properties and potential application in the fashion industry. The project was creatively communicated without any barriers, ensuring that everyone interested could understand the possibilities the bioplastic created from organic citrus waste offers. A Fashion Film was also created. This film creatively displayed the accessories and products made with bioplastic, emphasizing the importance of using sustainable materials.
